Alachua County Homestead
Exemption Information
Requirement Summary
-
At least one owner, indicated on deed, must be residing on
the subject property as of 1/1/2003.

Must bring copy of deed (if you have it) and file at
Alachua County Property Appraisers Office at Administration Building, 12
SE 1st Street, first floor, before March 1, 2003.

Must present social security number and drivers license
with copy of deed (if you have it).

If married couple living on property, only one needs to be
present but must have both social security and DL #'s. (Do not need cards,
just #'s)

If unmarried couple, both need to come.

If student and parents are on deed and live elsewhere, need
parents address.

Certain disabilities or senior citizen status may entitle
you to additional exemptions.
